How I Got Started:
I was first introduced to Jiu-Jitsu at just 5 years old by my Auntie Liz, who is now a brown belt. On August 13, 2019, I stepped onto the mats for my very first class—and I was instantly hooked! Jiu-Jitsu quickly became the perfect outlet for my boundless energy (and yes, I’m still just as energetic 🤣). I started training at Gracie Barra Fullerton under Professor Justin Workman, who made learning the art fun and easy to grasp, even at such a young age.
Then came COVID. Everything shut down in February 2020, and like many others, I had to pause my training. But in June 2020, my family moved to Murrieta—and that’s when everything changed. It was there that my passion for Jiu-Jitsu really took off and became something more than just a hobby. It became my way of life! OSS!
Training Journey
I’ve been training in Jiu-Jitsu for about 6 years now, starting back in 2019. But things really took off when we found our way to Carlson Gracie Temecula, where I began training under Professor Tom Cronin—who trained directly under Carlson Gracie Jr. That was a game-changer!
At that point, I wasn’t exactly dominating on the mats, but Professor Tom saw potential in me and invited me to join his Competition Team—an invite-only group. I didn’t take that opportunity lightly. I jumped in with full commitment, and from there, everything leveled up.
Since then, I’ve continued to evolve and push myself, building a well-rounded training routine that looks like this today:
- Strength Training – 5x week
- Wrestling – 3x week
- Competition Jiu-Jitsu – 4x week
- Kids Jiu-Jitsu – 3x week
- Adult Jiu-Jitsu – 2x week
Every session is a step toward becoming the best version of myself—on and off the mats.

And yes, I’m coming for that back-to-back title to defend my spot as the JJWL Season Champion. The grind doesn’t stop—I’m all in.
Why I Represent Masuta Kimonos:
Okay, let’s be real—I didn’t have much of a choice since my dad is the founder and owner of Masuta Kimonos, LOL. But honestly, I wouldn’t want it any other way. It’s a family business built on our shared love for Jiu-Jitsu, and it means a lot to represent something we’re both so passionate about.
Masuta isn’t just about the gear (which, by the way, is always 🔥 and top-quality); it’s about spreading the culture and values of Jiu-Jitsu wherever we go. For me personally, it’s also made my bond with my dad super strong. Training, traveling, and building this brand together has been such a cool experience—and I’m proud to be a part of it.
To God we give all the glory! 🙏🏽✝️
